Membership

KHNIA is a democratic, membership-led organization. We have over 400 members at-large and a core of 50 community leaders. Our Board of Directors is elected annually from our membership and has day-to-day management of KHNIA activities. Members participate in organizing campaigns through Tenant Associations and issue committees. A KHNIA representative sits on the Board of Directors of the NWBCCC, and our members work with residents of other Bronx neighborhoods to achieve common goals through coalition-wide committees.

Current Activities

We hold monthly community meetings, the 2ndWednesday of the month, with various City agencies such as the Department of Sanitation and our local Police Precinct. These meetings also serve as a forum to identify community-wide issues and concerns. Community members are always welcome! The meetings are held in the KHNIA Office and start at 7PM.
